At first glance a dark painting but it grows in power the more one views. It imparts a feeling of storm-tossed kelp seaweed and the moodiness of the North Sea. The impasto and easy handling are a pleasure to the eye and the painting is almost tactile. One of a pair currently being offered which recently came from a private house.
