Frank Wasley (1848/54-1934)
Coastal Storm
Medium: Watercolour
Size without frame: 15.0" x 22.0"
SOLD
Described in The Dictionary of British Artists as a black and white artist, here he is demonstrating his subtle colouration and very distinctive impressionist style. A storm drives a ship ashore and the onlookers gather anxiously but helpless. This is a powerful and dramatic scene. Wasley moved studio many times and can be considered a Yorkshire or London or Manchester artist!
