This superbly painted watercolour is typical of the historical and mythological subjects Sydney Muschamp liked to paint. From one of the Three Welsh Romances as adapted by Alfred, Lord Tennyson in his Arthurian epic Idylls of the King (1859) of King Arthur's Knight, Geraint, and his wife Enid. This scene depicts Enid warning Geraint of Earl Limour's plot to harm him. In a good frame and glazed with Artglass AR70. Signed lower left and titled and signed verso.
