Eugene Kingman (1909-1975)
Eugene Kingman was an American painter, teacher and art administrator/museum director. Kingman studied at the Rhode Island School of Design and at Yale University, School of Fine Art. Under the New Deal/US Treasury Art Project he was commissioned to paint three murals for the lobbies of US Post Offices. Also commissioned to paint a mural for the New York Times lobby which remained in place for forty years. Following restoration, is it now in the W Dale Clark Library, Omaha, Nebraska.
