This is a beautiful sketch for a well known oil painting by this renowned, historical artist. Mr Ernest Crofts depicts Queen Victoria’s funeral as it moves solemnly between the purple draped houses Of St. James's Street. The royal bier is seen from behind, with the King, the Duke of Connaught, and the German Emperor immediately following, as the procession passes the Devonshire Club at the top of St. James's Street and turns westward into Piccadilly.
