Sir Ernest Albert Waterlow RA PRWS (1850-1919)
Ernest Albert Waterlow was a landscape and animal painter equally in oils and in watercolour. Waterlow in Heidelburg and Lausanne and entered the Royal Academy schools in 1873. Exhibited in RA from 1872. His landscapes, often in Southern England, are marked by harmony of colour and quiet refinement. Represented in the Tate, Birmingham and the Laing Art Gallery.
