A wonderful interpretation of the Biblical story of the Garden of Eden. The hang-dog expression and slumped shoulder are beautifully observed. Very much in the Scandinavian oeuvre. In a magnificent and probably the original gold leaf frame that can be changed if the buyer so wishes.
We have to confess that we had attributed the wrong artist to this painting. An examination of the paintings at auction over the last 15 years or so confirms this painting to be by Emil Keyser.
