Originally this example had a titled mount,Ullswater, but we are informed it more likely to be Derwentwater.
Marten began working in Southern England and wales later falling in love with the English Lake District and with a gallery in Hawick. He had a short career probably returning to Australia as he seems to have had his origins there.
