Painted from the area of Ling Crag looking across Crummock water, and Buttermere to Fleetwith Pike with, we believe, the peaks of High Stile, High Crag and Red Pike. Really superb Thompson with lovely subtle colouring in the reflections in the water. Fresh to the market having been held in a private collection for over seventy years. Signed lower centre.
