Edward Barnard Lintott (1875-1951)
Versatile painter of still lifes, portraits and landscapes. Born and educated in London he continued his studies in Paris at the Academie Julian and the Ecole des Beaux Arts. Lintott became an American citizen in the 1940’s and had an exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum, New York. His paintings are held in the National Museum of Wales and the Brooklyn and Metropolitan Museums (New York) with drawings and posters at the V&A and the British Museum.
