Superb and substantial example by Charles Martin Powell. Very clearly signed and dated 1805. A truly georgian painting. We are showing it in the dusty, unrestored condition we found it in in a collection in a foreign country. The condition is good with a relining which is probably 100 years old but with minimal signs of retouching with an ultra-violet lamp.
Please deduct £150 if you prefer to buy it exactly as it is. If you would like our restorer to clean the painting and retouch a couple of tiny losses, then we will be very happy to do that for you within the price quoted.
