An early summer watercolour of the lake garden of Ayscoughfee Hall (Spalding, Lincolnshire), with borders in bloom under ancient yew hedges, lilies on the lake, and the 13th century parish church of St Mary and St Nicolas. Thought to be the present-day site of the Lutyens designed WW1 memorial. Undated, but before 1910 as this is the original Parsons illustration for Dion Calthrop's The Charm of Gardens. Signed and inscribed, the colours are fresh. Framed and ready to hang.
