Augustus Osborne Lamplough (1877-1930)
He was a prominent landscape and architectural painter. He also became teacher at Leeds School of Art. Lamplough traveled in Europe, Egypt, the Middle East & North Africa. He is perhaps best known for his desert scenes and views of Arab towns and cities. Very prolific and painted mainly in watercolours to a very high standard.
