Children wade through the long grass collecting wild flowers which fill the field in a scene once common sadly today increasingly rare. Probably in Nottinghamshire or Derbyshire and typical of Redgate in style and subject - he liked to paint summertime landscapes, hay meadows and fields. Signed, lower left.
