An artist who needs little preamble and is classed as probably the best known of the English Lake District painters. He is also the best known of this family of artists and son of Alfred Heaton Cooper. William was born in 1903 and exhibited at the Royal Academy. He settled in Grassmere. This is a good example of his work and is entitled Looking down on the Derwent Water.
