Rays of sunshine break through the cloud lighting up the grass for the grazing sheep and cattle. Brown fronds of bracken and icy peaks suggest it may be a November day in Snowdonia in this lovely example of de Breanski's Welsh paintings. Complex light in the lull between showers, cloud clears from the mountain gullies, the moraines of glacial till sweeping down from between the peaks to Llyn Idwal. Signed lower right, and signed and titled verso.
