Buying a Painting from our Website - FREE Worldwide Delivery

If you wish to buy a painting on the website, email us at info@jamesalder.co.uk - or use the enquiry form by the painting, to let us know. We will then mark the painting as 'RESERVED'. When payment has cleared we will mark the painting as 'SOLD' and contact you to arrange shipping.

  The James Alder Packing Department in action

We have over 10 years' experience of packing paintings for sending via national and international postage services. Your painting will be packed - and crated if necessary - to the highest level of safety. All paintings are covered by insurance for their full value while in transit. If you feel your painting has been damaged in the post, please contact us immediately.

UK SHIPPING

Smaller paintings will be sent using Royal Mail Special Delivery or another courier service where a tracking service is offered, and will require a signature on receipt. We can usually work around a day convenient to you. Larger paintings will be sent using an insured courier service and will also require a signature on receipt. We also use a reputable Fine Art Shipping Service for door-to-door personal transfer of more expensive or fragile items. We have used this service for many years both for delivery to customers and collection of items we have bought.

DELIVERY SCHEDULE

For larger items, our Fine Art couriers usually give the option of delivery on two consecutive days. When you have agreed this date they will ring you nearer the time to give you a more exact day and time. For smaller items which are being posted and require a signature on receipt we can usually arrange a day to suit you.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

We welcome international buyers. Your painting will be suitably packed/crated for international shipping and will be sent with one of the large courier services such as DHL or Fedex who offer a detailed tracking service. Please email us if you require further information about international postage.

AUTHENTICITY

ALL purchases are unconditionally guaranteed as to quality and authenticity exactly as stated in the painting description. Just ask if you would like a certificate of authenticity with your painting.

RETURNS AND REFUNDS

In the unlikely event that you are not happy with your painting, we offer a 14-day returns policy. The item needs to be returned in exactly the same condition you received it in and in the original or other appropriate packaging. Return postage must be with an insured, trackable postage service, and will be at the cost of the buyer.
