Atmospheric view in the early morning by this well respected, traditional artist. He lived in Portsmouth and London but painted bright, warm views, often in Wales or Surrey, usually on a larger scale. Exhibited 15 paintingsin the RA between 1848 and 1873 and at many other venues. Good 'swept' frame in keeping with the painting which has been relined.
