Marvellous moonlight scene with an equally wonderful frame to match. Panel and frame in pristine condition.
Unfortunately, we've been unable to put an artist to this painting in spite of a monogram and the date 1857. It certainly looks to be Dutch and of that mid 19th Century romantic period. Maybe a real 'sleeper' for someone. This is definitely one we need some help from our ever knowledgeable clientele....
